Moving!
We've sold our home and are moving into a rental while we have another house built. The rental and new home are within walking distance of our current home, so the kids are happy. We have to be out by Friday, which is no small feat.
Our big lesson learned with this move is that you don't want to settle in June. It's the busiest month for both movers and for leasing rentals, leaving us with neither!!! We finally found a rental home a few streets away (thanks to many, many prayers) but no movers. We look like the Beverly hillbillies moving all of our furniture (a 3600 square foot house FULL of furniture) piece by piece in the back of our minivan and small SUV. Steve and Brandon are once again big heroes as they do this completely by themselves. We are moving it all into a smaller home, making it twice the fun.
Nana and Pepe are coming this weekend to help with Sydney. She loves having a "new house" but is lacking in the packing department. Steve will put boxes by our front door ready to load and she can have them unpacked within minutes. We find ourselves packing the same things several times. I guess we need to keep her on the unloading end in the rental home!
All is well, otherwise. Brandon is trying out for a classic soccer team tonight and Ryan is busy making sure he packs every last minute in this neighborhood with friends and fun.
I best get back to work. Our furniture, drawer & closet items multiply when I'm not looking. Keep us in your prayers for a smooth transition to the rental and then this fall into our new house.
Thanks for sticking with us & sharing our always-exciting lives,
Lori
