Visit with Emily
Sydney's "sister" Emily came to visit tonight. Emily and her family were not able to join us for the Disney reunion so we showed them enough pictures to make them feel like they were there! I'm collecting everyone's family pictures from the trip and once I have all of them I'll make a CD for everyone including the 3 families who were unable to make it.
Emily is doing great! Sydney had an issue at first sharing her toys, but that melted away after about 30 minutes & three or four time-outs. Emily is catching up in size, she is only about an inch and a half shorter than Sydney now, but quite a few pounds lighter! Dennis and Carrie live an hour away from us, so it's wonderful to be able to get the girls together often. We try to have them over to dinner about once a month. We're planning a trip to the zoo once the weather gets a bit warmer.
Sydney has changed by leaps and bounds on her vocabulary since our trip to Florida. Two of the girls were speaking pretty well and I think it must have been a positive form of peer pressure! She is saying 3 and 4 word sentences and at times talks non-stop. We love it! She is still counting to 10 without including number 7, who knows why... She is also singing good chunks of songs now, very cute!
I'll end for now with some pictures of tonight's dinner with our sweet Fu sister Emily. The first one is Dennis with Sydney (dressed in white) and Emily (in pink), the second is Sydney giving Emily a hug and the third is Sydney & Emily having some down-time.
