What a Hoot!
Okay, so I've never had a car accident in my entire life but today while we were on our way to a ladies luncheon Sydney asks me "Mommy, are you going to hit a car?" I didn't think I heard her right so I made her repeat it (while looking around to make sure I wasn't missing something while driving). "Are you going to hit a car, Mommy?" This time I told her no and then she said "Are you going to crash?" I couldn't help but laugh, these conversations that we have throughout our days are great. The other morning I gave her a choice of more waffles or yogurt to which she replied, "Hmmm...I have peanuts, please". She certainly has a mind of her own.
She still a great sleeper, 12 hours at night and a good 3 hour nap in the afternoon. Eating has never been an issue, she eats whatever is on her plate plus whatever is on mine or her Daddy's plate. She grabs a fork and swings her leg right over mine, sitting on my thigh and digs right into whatever I'm eating! It's a forced diet for me, which isn't so bad. I've tried gently removing her, realizing we are creating a monster, but she's just so darn cute. Plus, I know from having older kids that these days end and then you miss them. They go by so fast and suddenly they are all grown.
Selling the house has been a painful process. Everyone looking loves it, but almost all are relocating and have a house to sell in another state. I have no wish for contingent contract, so here we sit for now. The price doesn't seem to be a problem for any, so I'm hopeful that sooner or later we'll get the right people in here. Keeping it clean for showings is the painful part. Two teenagers, a two year old and two cats plus one husband is a lot to clean up after they've been home!
Brandon is going to the next level of competition in track with a regional meet this Wednesday. That kid leads a charmed life, whatever he tries he always does well. Ryan is doing well, he quit track after he broke his nose on the high jump and keeps himself busy with friends. I have to go pick up Brandon from track, so I'll end for now. I'll take some pictures soon and post them...
Love,
Lori
