Winding up the 1st Year

We had a nice visit with Steve's parents this month. Mom and Dad were here and we celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and both of their birthdays (all within days of each other) with a fantastic dinner at a great restaurant. They came for the weekend and the weather was beautiful, it was perfect fall weather. I didn't get too many pictures this time, but there's one of Sydney and her Nana in the October pictures that came out great.

We had a great treat when close friends of ours invited our family to a Carolina Hurricane hockey game celebrating our team's Stanley Cup win and playing the first game of the season while watching it all in a special reserved suite. It was so much fun! The food was great and Sydney discovered she loves popcorn. Well meaning friends kept her supplied until the bowl was empty.

Sydney continues to come out with new 2 word sentences, but not often. My theory is she just doesn't feel the need to talk when there is always someone around to fulfill her every whim. We all enjoy spoiling her rotten.

This next month will be an exciting one; Brandon's birthday is the 29th and he will be getting his driver's license next week, Sydney will turn two years old on November 13th and it will be the first birthday we celebrate with her as a family. Then comes our first Thanksgiving together, we'll have an abundance of thankful prayers for our many blessings!

Oh, I almost forgot. Sydney finally learned how to blow bubbles this past month. She has always tried her best as she LOVES bubbles, but in the past couldn't help putting the blower on her lips while blowing, making bubble soap lip-gloss. Yuck.
