First Vacation

Sydney loves the beach and the pool. She thinks sand is the best thing God created, rolling in it, tasting it, throwing it and she has even tried diving head first into it. It's best to stay about 5 feet away from her, or run the risk of being sandblasted. She would make a good dermatologist doing abrasion procedures. She could do several clients at once.
The pool is a big hit and Sydney loves the baby-floating ring Ryan and I found at the local Wal-Mart. Her legs move a mile a minute as soon as they hit the water and she can get that ring moving like a motorboat. She needs to because there are so many people in the pool to greet with a "hi" and waving to everyone is mandatory.
On another note, Sydney started to run a 104.4 fever with a nasty ear infection and had a tooth decide to erupt. She has let me, Brandon and Ryan know that she in fact does have lungs and is not afraid to use them when uncomfortable. This is her second ear infection with only 11 days in-between courses of antibiotics. We also think she is having a difficult time in a hotel. This is how she was transferred to us (with her first few nights being in a China hotel) so now she is clinging to me like gorilla glue since we arrived. I think she is worried that this might be the next transfer. Plus, you know she misses her Daddy while we are away...we all do.
