Life Is Good

Tomorrow Sydney will have been home for one month. It's been all giggles, smiles and pure joy. She is the easiest baby, always happy and ready to give hugs and kisses. She is the best hugger around, those little arms go up in the air and she pulls you in and squeezes tight. She also loves blowing kisses now.

Sydney is starting to pick up more words. She knows "Dada", "Mama" and can even say "Brand-in" for Brandon. Ryan's official name is "Ra-ra". Sydney loves talking on the telephone, she can say "Pop-Pop" when her Granddad calls from Maryland, and likes to say "Hi" when her Great-Grandmother calls to say hello. She said "Kitcat" for our kitty cats, but that only happened once. She told a neighbor "Bye" last week.

She is a great eater, eats anything that you hand her with the exception of carrots. No carrots enter and if they somehow sneak into her mouth, they come back out. She can eat cheese all day, loves chicken, meatballs, waffles, macaroni, any fruit, yogurt and shovels in the green beans. Last night she ate her first ice cream cone --ice cream, cone and all! There was nothing left when she finished. She quit baby food almost right away and has given up her bottle for sippy cups. The bottles are ready to be packed away for (God willing) a future baby sister.

Sleeping is wonderful, she goes down about 8:30pm and wakes up around 7:30am. Naps are from 11am to around 1pm, then she is happy and plays until bedtime.

Sydney likes sitting on Mommy's lap and listening to books, the Boynton books are her favorites. She also is very into checking out cabinets and drawers. Surprisingly, she is very good with our two cats and one of them has adopted her as her own. Summer follows Sydney everywhere and even allows a hug now and then, letting Sydney rest her head on her soft fur.

Sydney is a bundle of love, and we are so blessed to have her in our family.
